I really liked this book because whenever you finish a chapter you don't know what is going to happen next and you are excited to find out. This book is about Nancy and her best friend Bree who are trying to make two people fall in love. One of these people is Nancy's guitar teacher. The other one is Bree's babysitter. I recommend this book to 8-10 year olds.

I really, really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed this book because I love fairy tales very much but my favorites are fractured and this one is a fractured one. The main characters are Cinderella, Jonah and Abby. When Cinderella busts her foot and it won't fit the glass slipper they need to find a way to heal it and fast. This book is very exciting and every chapter leaves you with a cliffhanger. I recommend this book to 8-10 year olds.

The Friday Society is a funny, clever, adventurous tale of three girls- Cora Bell, assistant to inventor and scientist Lord White, Nelly, assistant to the great magician Raheem, and Michiko, assistant- and samurai- to the self-defense instructor Mr. Callum. They meet on a fateful night, and after two murders, team up to solve the mystery behind it all in a whirlwind of deceit, romance, wit and swords. Overall, I really did like this book, as the voice was rather amusing, as well as the characters. The characters themselves were realistic and likable, and the plot was fresh. I would most definitely recommend The Friday Society.

This book is about a boy named Vinnie who just move to a new town right next to the most pretty girl at school, Patsy. He wants to get up the gut to talk to her but he ends up calling her at night as an anonymous caller. The two talk every night at midnight. But patsy falls in love with both Vinnie and the anonymous caller.  This love story gets complicated. I love this book because it was fun to see how Patsy reacted to each side of Vinnie and how much different he was on the phone and in real life.

Falling Kingdoms is a superb work of fantasy! I liked how every character's seemingly different lives and situations were slowly pulled together as the Kingdoms did worse. I also enjoyed the high level of detail throughout the book, making it much easier to view the story in the way the author wanted - slowly derailing and foreboding to even worse things. I would recommend this story to readers of fantasy without huge amounts of unrealistic things; more realistic, but with touches of fantasy.

This book grabs you and pulls you in, thrills you with mystery and betrayal, and leaves you breathless with the vivid, mystifying world that AG Howard has created. Alyssa Gardner is descended from the Alice that inspired Lewis Carroll, and she can hear bugs and flowers talk- as can her mother, who, because of this is in a mental hospital. When Alyssa tries to find out if wonderland is real, she discovers it is- but it is far more sinister and dark than Lewis Carroll ever thought. In order to fix her mother's illness, she must pass a number of impossible tasks while trying to decide who she loves- the mysterious and dark creature from her past, or her loyal, brave, long-time crush.

A realistic science fiction, NERVE follows the story of a quiet girl named Vee as she plays a widely viewed game hosted by anonymous figures. Although seemingly fun and harmless, the game progresses to destroy friendships and eventually threaten lives as the tense night continues. Personally, I really did like NERVE- the plot is unpredictable, with twists and betrayals building up to a deadly climax. Vee is fairly realistic, portrayed as a practical, shy girl who steps out of her walls and in doing so, learns exactly how cruel people can be and how far she is willing to go to achieve her dreams. I'd recommend this book to those who enjoyed others such as Divergent and The Unidentified, as well as those who are simply looking for an edgy science fiction.

Warning!  This book is not for the faint of heart.  The story is about a young rogue who finds himself twisted in a fantastic adventure, full of unique characters who have a story all their own.  As the book begins, it features two conflicting stories about opposite characters who are both on the run.  They end up together on a deserted island and the story plays out.  The author adds creative elements such as a larger setting and intriguing workings of the world the characters embark upon.  The story starts out slow but gets more exciting as it goes, so keep reading.  It's worth it!

Number Four is back in the third book in the I Am Number Four/Lorien Legacies series.  Despite plent of controversy about the history of this series, they're really great. and The Rise of Nine is just as great as I Am Number Four and better than The Power of Six.  The book moves at a really thrilling pace, with tons of exciting action.  Four, Six and the others come to terms with their great power.  The book's climax is an exhilarating battle in New Mexico against the government and the Loric's worst enemy, Setrakus Ra.  At many points, I got the feeling that anybody could die at any point.  The Rise of Nine is an explosive new chapter that cements Number Four as a great hero, and shows that the Lorien Legacies is still an enthralling series.

The book, "The Forsaken" by Lisa M. Stasse, is a very good book that I would recommend to anyone who liked the "Hunger Games".  It had a feel of the "Hunger Games" - a futuristic powerful government controlling the people of North America - but also had a very different plot and some surprises.

This book was incredibly amazing! I loved how Lauren Oliver used descriptive language and had a lot of characters in her book. This book is about a girl named Liesl and two ghosts named Po and Bundle. Bundle was either a cat or dog and Po was either a girl or boy. Po and Bundle come from the “Other Side”. In this book when you die you either go to “Beyond” or you go to the “Other Side”. If you go to the “Other Side” you become a ghost and you can cross over to the “Living Side”. If you go to “Beyond” it’s like going to heaven. I would definitely recommend this book for big readers!

This realistic novel follows the unlikely friendship between two young musicians as they try to break through expectations and become what they really want to be.  Lyla, a gifted cellist whose future has been planned out for her in the manner of a renowed musical academy and amazing grades, and Tripp, a guitarist who simply loves letting his fingers meander naturally about his guitar strings and who has been branded - by his poor grades and unique demeanor - as a loner, use the practice room on different days.  Notes between the two spark a friendship in which each helps the other to become a better person, both musically  and mentally.  I really liked this book as the characters were witty and the dialogue was distinctive and interesting.  The overall concept - different music drawing two very different (and yet similar) people together - was very cool, and this book was by far one of the better ones I've read in awhile.  I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun read, and it will especially appeal to music lovers.

Tom Raines has been a nobody, is a nobody, and will be a nobody for the rest of his life, thanks to his father, a drunken gambler. Or, at least, that’s what he thinks until he is invited to an elite military school called the Pentagonal Spire. This is the base of operations for the third world war, a war fought entirely in space. Here Tom finds things he has never had before-friends, a possible girlfriend, and a place where he is important. But in order to keep them, he must survive deceit, trickery, and betrayal. Can he survive? What will it cost him? This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes action and adventure.

Perfect Escape (Hardcover)

Kendra has always felt overshadowed by her older brother, Grayson, whose obsessive-compulsive disorder has hogged her parents' attention and pressured her to achieve constant perfection. For her whole life, she has accepted this as her fate—that is, until time and anxiety about a cheating scandal at school drives her to take matters into her own hands and run away from it all in hope of escaping her anxiety and curing her brother.

Perfect Escape is an artfully crafted work and complex emotional roller coaster. Anyone can identify with Kendra's frustrations and emotional dilemmas, and the lack of control and misunderstanding that Grayson feels. Also, Brown presents mental illness, a key part of the story, in a way that even those who have had no exposure to it at all can easily comprehend its complex and devastating effects. Reminiscent of John Green's work, Perfect Escape is a fantastic read, especially for teens.

When Tiger Lily is faced with marriage to a man she dislikes, she seeks escape in the forests of her home on the hidden island of Neverland. There she meets the teenage Peter Pan and his wild Lost Boys and begins to visit them. Soon, she falls in love with Peter and must choose between the village life she’s always known and a future with Peter. Tiger Lily faces even more problems when someone she assumed was dead comes to the village and changes it dramatically, making life hard for Tiger Lily and her shaman father. As if that wasn’t enough, there are pirates on the island whose plots might put Tiger Lily or Peter in danger.  This intriguing book is told from the point of view of a slightly jealous faerie named Tinkerbell who can sense Tiger Lily’s emotions and what she wants, but cannot speak. If you like romance with a touch of fantasy and a unique setting and situation, you will enjoy Tiger Lily.

A wonderful sequel!  It picks up a few months after THIRTEEN LITTLE BLUE ENVELOPES left off.  Ginny is trying to write the dreaded college essay, a description of a life changing event.  The trouble is, it's hard to summarize her most life-changing event - her aunt dying and sending her thirteen little blue envelopes giving her many taskes all around Europe, where she met many new people, did many strange things and ended up on the Greek Island of Corfu, where her backpack was stolen with the last letter still inside - in 1000 words or less.  Then she gets a call from a boy named Oliver who has her backpack but won't give her the letter until she follows the instructions it contains with him.  She soon finds herself on a crazy new quest with friends and companions both old and new.  A funny, inspiring and well-written page-turner that you will not want to put down.

The main character in this book is a teenager named Joey Jordan.  She loves gymnastics and is part of the Guest Stars gymnastics team.  She dreams of winning the gold at regionals but when other things distract her, like boys and her best friend wanting to retire from gymnastics, she's not so sure she can do it.  I really loved this book and would recommend to all my friends.

I loved this book!  I loved that it connects with kids and tells them to be themselves.  Although the book didn't remind me of other books, the character of Marty reminded me of Cass in the Secret series and Madeline from the BFF Breakup.

Natasha Friend’s, My Life in Black & White, was both uplifting and thought provoking.  The story centers around Lexi and her new found identity after a horrific car crash. Lexi learns to adapt to her new life as she realizes that she is more than just a pretty face. This story is both funny and touching. Natasha Friend poses the question, “If you lost the one thing that defined you, who would you be?”  I would recommend this book for readers over the age of twelve because of mature content.  It truly was a joy to read this story and I found myself unable to put it down!

"Planet Tad" was a great book.  It was very funny in ways that appeal to all ages.  It made me look at things I already knew but in different ways.  I definitely recommend it to readers who like funny books and the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series.
