Join Margaret and her friends for a reception to celebrate the dramatic follow-up to her gripping debut, Under Fire. Former Boston prosecutor Margaret McLean spins another ripped-from-the-headlines mystery that marks her place amongst the next great courtroom thriller writers!
ABOUT THE BOOK:
An exciting courtroom mystery that draws on some of the most controversial topics in the news today, Under Oath is set in Boston and centers around the trial of Gangster Billy Malone accused of the murder of Trevor Shea, a talented artist and suspected informant. In the course of the trial, prosecutor Annie Fitzgerald must crack Charlestown’s infamous code of silence while encountering jurors who defy their instructions, the murder of her chief witness, and FBI cover-ups. With vividly drawn characters, Under Oath is a fascinating read that shows the ins and outs of a complex trial as well as the problems and prejudices that exist in our legal system today.
