One of the best business books I've read in awhile.  Yes, that's right, business books.  Tina Fey is smart, funny and right on the money when it comes to leading people, innovating ideas and managing a business.  Her business just happens to be humor.  But don't read it as a business book, read it for fun. Descriptions of her family members and growing up in the Fey household are hilarious.  Her snapshots into the SNL shows are funny and enlightening.  This is a great fun read.

What a creative way to talk about bullying and the power of one! Perfect for kindergarten and first grade. It will leave your child feeling empowered. I just love this book.

I laughed till I cried reading this book. Growing up in the eighties Mike is desperately, and painfully, trying to be somebody. Lucky for us, he is able to turn his pain into some of the most humorous stories I have read. Mike is an up-and-coming comic having appeared several times on Comedy Central. He is a contributor on NPR's This American Life and The Moth Radio Hour. Funny, funny guy.

A tender story of an unlikely friendship that develops between the Housekeeper and her son, and the Professor. Simply told by the Housekeeper, the story begins with her employment by the Professor's sister-in-law after a string of failed housekeepers. The Professor, a brilliant mathematician and avid baseball fan, is stuck in the year 1975 due to a brain injury caused by a car accident. His memory lasts only 80 minutes but he works tirelessly to solve math problems in magazines, and often wins prize money for his solutions. Once the Professor finds out the Housekeeper has a son, he insists that she bring him to work with her. The presence of Root, as the Professor has named him, awakens the teacher in him and provides the Professor with an opportunity to teach Root how to discover math, not just learn it. As their friendship develops, Root becomes the teacher and the Professor the student as he learns that there is more to baseball than just the statistics. Beautifully and sparingly written, this novel will stay with you long after you have finished.
